Roberta D Buck

My Mother was a creative woman always up for learning new things and sharing what she gleaned from the process.

She was a humble, giving woman with a quick wit and a sharp tongue.  Recently I had the opportunity to go through her photo albums which is no quick feat when one considers she was 75 years old when she passed away and an avid photographer!

For several hours I sat at my siblings (one of six!) dining table and poured through photos which reached into the hundreds carefully separating them into groups of siblings and their respective family members.

In the end was one lone photo album which contained photographs of landscapes, beach scenes, sunsets and the like.   My sibling was in a bit of a quandary with what to do with these beautiful snapshots of a day frozen in time: winter, spring, summer and fall.

And in the end in deference to tossing the lot in a trash can I bargained to preserve these photos which quite possibly our mother intended to paint to canvas and offered to publish and share here on my blog.
